Usage
Although there is some overlap in the use of unsociable, unsocial, and antisocial, they have distinct core meanings. Unsociable means ‘not enjoying the company of others’ (Terry was grumpy and unsociable), while antisocial means ‘contrary to the customs of society’ (aggressive and antisocial behaviour). Unsocial, on the other hand, is usually used to describe hours ‘falling outside the normal working day’.
